    GENERAL FUNCTION

    Head of EHS for Distribution Centers and Rx Labs in EssilorLuxottica North America (US, Mexico and Canada).

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    EHS

    • Participate to define overall strategies for the EssilorLuxottica EHS Organization in North America

    • Lead the EHS team, providing management, development, and monitoring. Motivating them to fulfill their roles effectively, in accordance with business objectives.

    • Coordinate and cascade corporate guidelines from HQ office, ensuring implementation at each level of the Organization.

    • Ensure through the EssilorLuxottica North American Organization (Distribution Centers and Rx Labs) that a safe work environment is guaranteed in compliance with OSHA standards and State/local regulations.

    • Develop and implement Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at the Organization level to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

    • Implement auditing program of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

    • Implement incidents investigation process to determine root cause and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

    • Define and report on metrics related to Environmental, Health, and Safety performance.

    • Develop programs for delivering training on Environmental, Health, and Safety topics in collaboration with both Central and Regional Center of Excellence

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations among the RxO & Logistics Network

    • Serve as the point of contact for all Environmental, Health, and Safety inquiries among the RxO & Logistics Network

    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure implementation of compliance programs with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.

    • Oversee submission required for Environmental Health, and Safety Routine Regulatory Agency reporting.

    • Implement across the Network any National level EHS compliance aspects of chemical use, processes, products, and services (e.g. EPA TSCA, Canada DSL, California CARB, etc.)

    • Support sites on Permitting for air, water, waste and other aspects required by type of business/process.

    • Support Legal Team with Regulatory Agency negotiations - fines, violations, consent orders, etc.

    • Implement Sustainability / Pollution Prevention programs to impact global Sustainability initiatives.

    • Support Management of Change (MOC) for new / changes to chemicals, equipment & processes at site level

    • Support Worker's Compensation activities & reporting

    • Continually evaluate effectiveness of continuous Safety improvement processes

    • Define roadmap and support implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO5001 certifications for the NA RxO & Logistics Network

    • Support for acquisitions/divestitures through Due Diligence process

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master's Degree Business, Engineering, or equivalent

    • 10+ years of management experience in Operations environment (EHS, Maintenance and facilities)

    • Strong Leadership skills

    • Knowledge in OSHA standards

    • Knowledge in Environmental standards and regulations (NA perimeter)

    • Experience with manufacturing sites requiring Environmental permitting (Air, Wastewater, Haz Waste)

    • Proven ability to motivate staff to ultimate resolution of business problems.

    • Superior oral and written and presentation skills.

    • Proven ability to introduce, cultivate, and implement new ideas and directives.

    • Strategic skills as enabler of leading the NA EHS
