UC / VoIP Engineer

Amentum is seeking a UC / VoIP Engineer to join our team and support our Colorado Springs, CO customer. We are looking for team members who are passionate about making a difference by working on critical efforts we manage as a premier government contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support enterprise UC projects; provide UC (VoIP/VTC/DVTC) engineering and architecture development support

• Provide a high level of technical understanding for problem-solving and troubleshooting

• Interact with hardware and software vendors to address issues when necessary

• Work on-call shift rotations with other members of the department

• Deployment and troubleshooting of VOIP equipment and tools such as Cisco UC equipment, Jabber, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)

• Responsible for managing very complex and/or high-risk programs, assigned technical staff, and other subordinate managers

• Establish state-of-the-art techniques for designing, developing, modifying and troubleshooting highly complex computer operating hardware system

• Design UC/VoIP operating/hardware systems; formulate UC/VoIP system concepts and architecture, specific requirements, and develop implementation approaches

• Identify and direct resolution of complex hardware/software interface issues; subject matter expert on emerging technologies; direct the development of UC/VoIP systems specifications and technical documentation

Minimum Requirements:

• PhD degree in a related field, and at least 2 years of related UC / VoIP engineering experience

• Or a Master's degree in a related field, and at least 4 years of related UC / VoIP engineering experience

• Or a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and at least 6 years of related UC / VoIP engineering experience

• Or an Associates degree in a related field, and at least 8 years of related UC / VoIP engineering experience

• Or a High school diploma/GED, at least 10 years of related UC / VoIP engineering experience

• Possess a DoD 8570 IAT II certification (which includes either a Security+, CCNA-Security, CySa+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, and/or SSCP). Higher levels of the listed certifications also qualify, such as a CCNP certification instead of a CCNA.

• Possess a CCNP, JNCIP, JCNIS or equivalent certification (i.e. other UC technology specialty certification)

• Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility, and the ability to obtain a polygraph after hire. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environment
