    CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer who wants to expand their background by being exposed to the methodologies of the Zumwalt Combat System (ZCS). This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) through detailed requirements, data, and capability analysis of the Zumwalt Combat System Command, Control, and Information Element (ECCI) computer program with the objective of identifying computer program anomalies, providing categorization of existing software issues and limitations and insight into ZCS and ECCI design upgrades.

    You must be willing to work onsite in King George, VA. Applicants with current/active Secret-level clearance highly desired!

    What You'll Get to Do:

    • Review capabilities incorporated into Zumwalt Combat System (ZCS) to approve requirement changes, test methodology and completeness.

    • Analyze and review current software and related documentation. i.e. specifications, requirements, interface documents, test documents.

    • Assist in the research and analysis of existing systems and program requirements; assists in preparing documentation to change existing programs.

    • Perform review of ZCS Command, Control, and Information Element (ECCI) software issues to determine severity, operator/mission impact, and possible mitigation.

    • Assist in resolving identified issues within the ZCS.

    • Perform data analysis to support ZCS Navy Independent Test (NIT).

    • Perform analysis tools development; including the generation of basic profiles designed to assist with data analysis within ECCI and its interaction with other ZCS Elements.

    • Travel to various test sites to support ZCS test events.

    More About the Role:

    Your assignments are directed by the project's Technical Lead or Point of Contact (POC). Under the direction of the POC and as a member of our team, you will be able to:

    • Isolation of identified computer program anomalies via methods of data analysis and source code analysis.

    • Travel to local and non-local test sites to support ZCS capability testing.

    • Work in a collaborative office environment where you will be required to coordinate and collaborate with a team, while also being able to work independently.

    • NOTE: This position requires access to secure systems therefore minimal telework is to be expected.

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or physical science is required.

    • 0-3 years of experience with United States Navy (USN) Zumwalt Combat System or other Combat System.

    • Need to have the ability to obtain and maintain, at minimum, a Secret Level Security Clearance. Active Secret Security Clearance is a plus.

    • Must be a U.S. citizen. (US Citizenship is required in order to obtain a security clearance from the DoD.)

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

    • 1-3 years of experience with Command and Control Combat System Element.

    • Experience in C++, Java, and/or Python programming languages.

    • Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

    • Active Secret level clearance.

    The proposed salary range for this position is

    $52,700-$105,400
