    What you will do

    The Quality & Customer Satisfaction team ensures the product quality performance within a determined scope through investigating and prioritizing market product quality issues. A Lead Product Quality Leader secures the voice of the customer in the problem-solving processes through knowledge management. This demands high levels of product knowledge, problem solving, and ability to work with global colleagues across the engineering, production, purchasing & field service network.

    This role is also responsible for achieving product quality goals and metrics for fault frequency and warranty costs.

    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Search, detect and quantify early stage active and proactive customer quality issues via enhanced analytics.

    • Prioritize quality actions inside Volvo Group to achieve committed quality targets for assigned products.

    • Actively search for rapid containment actions & recommend appropriate quality solving tools for an identified field issue.

    • Determine, among all the issues experienced by the customer, what are the emerging issues that must be pre-investigated.

    • Initiate, coordinate, and prioritize quality actions inside Design Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.

    • Act as the Chairperson for the Field Quality Meeting (FQM and Leadership of Quality Action Group (QAG).

    • Report to internal stakeholders on product quality and customer satisfaction.

    • Ensure effectiveness of implemented Quality solving solutions and adjust as necessary.

    • Identify, claim and communicate potential safety related issues to Safety Investigator.

    • Lead actions within the PQL network to achieve the application quality goals.

    • Challenge other Product Quality Leaders to prioritize major issues not addressed.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Ability to quickly and strategically gain credibility and establish positive relationships in a global network.

    • Proficiency in prioritizing issues based on criticality and ensuring value add for both customer and brand.

    • Understanding the importance of an excellent customer focus, both internal and external. -

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or business-related field.

    • 8-12+ year of automotive industry experience, preferably in a service or maintenance related role.

    • Proven experience as a leader in a team and/or project management experience.

    • Ability to travel domestic and/or international, up to 10%.

    Preferred

    • Master's Degree in engineering or a business-related field.

    • Experience in dealership operations or in a position with direct dealer interface.

    • Experience working in a global organization.
