Senior Radar Engineer/Scientist

Amentum is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer/Scientist to provide support to NSWCDD B40 / B60 Divisions. You will perform systems engineering to support development, acquisition and evolutions to field advanced concepts on Navy and/or Marine Corps Radar Systems.

Job Responsibilities

Will perform radar system engineering, design, analysis, on one or more of the following systems: Dual Band Radar (DBR), Ground Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR), AN/SPY-1, AN/SPY-6, Enhanced Coherent Data Collection System (ECDCS) or other sensor systems.

• Depending on candidates expertise, will assess radar architecture hardware designs and software / firmware algorithm implementations for one or more of the following specific applications

• RF architecture hardware design and optimization to include assessing fabrication techniques

• Antenna design implementations; antenna array and element design and performance assessments

• Digital signal processing implementations and techniques

• Electronic Warfare implementations in radar designs; assess impacts of ECM/ECCM/Electronic Protect applications on radar performance.

• Will develop engineering presentations, White Papers, system specifications, Point / Position Papers, Technical analysis and assessments and orally present technical concepts to staff and project leadership

Required Qualifications and Skills

Required one or more of the following -

(a) A Bachelor's degree from an a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; plus Fifteen (15) years of professional engineering experience

or

(b) A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of stMust have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearanudy: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Fifteen (15) years of professional engineering experience

or

(c) A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Twelve (12) years of professional engineering experience

or

(d) Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; plus Eight (8) years of professional engineering experience

• Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in one or more of the following specific knowledge areas

• RF hardware design and fabrication

• Antenna engineering

• Digital Signal Processing

• Electronic Warfare design implementations within Radar systems to include Electronic Protection methods and concepts

• Program / project level engineering experience in major sensor systems.

• Experience utilizing MATLAB to perform calculations and data analysis to assess radar performance
