  • Eaton's Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Senior Material Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, MI facility.

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

    What you'll do:

    Position Overview:

    This position will develop and manage processes required to perform all inventory functions in an efficient and accurate manner. Constantly monitor and analyze all inventory and related transactions made in the ERP system. Provide feedback and direction to material analysts, shop floor supervisors and hourly associates pertaining to processes used to perform inventory related transactions. Provide training for all inventory related transactions as required. Maintains proper queue management and product flow. Conducts/oversees auditing functions to verify correct cycle counts and maintained inventory accuracy throughout the plant. You will assess data using multiple programming tools (i.e. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, etc.)

    In this function you will:

    • Assist plant management in the planning and execution of the annual Physical Inventory process.

    • Perform inventory related activities and develop processes to reduce inventory and improve product flow

    • Continually perform inventory aging analysis and reviews potential excess and obsolete material with the buyer and manage the disposal process. As well as ensure planning parameters are updated to prevent future excess and obsolete inventory.

    • Coordinate and support daily cycle counting activities and work to quickly replenish miss transacted inventory with buyers and planners to support external customers.

    • Perform inventory and ABC item stratification analysis to achieve inventory targets while meeting availability goals and monthly/yearly sales forecast.

    • Coordinate documentation of new processes with systematic training incorporated to insure long term sustainable improvements.

    • Develop salary and hourly Employees for better understanding of product/process flows and transactions.

    • Create/implement training on inventory and shipping related procedures/processes

    • Aid other key staff members and functional projects as needed.

    • Understand and analyze supply chain information and develop innovative methods and procedures for corrective actions within the department and/or division.

    • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure product is being built, stocked, shipped in the most optimal / economical way possible to minimize waste in storage, minimize waste in stock handling, and waste in movement.

    • Target continuous improvement opportunities to streamline the efficiency of the entire indirect manufacturing area

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum of three (3) years in manufacturing, supply chain role, and/or production experience.

    • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

    • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

    • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with MS Office, advanced user in MS Excel.

    • General knowledge of ERP and procurement processes

    • Process Certifications (CPIM), Lean, Six Sigma
