As a vital member and leader within our Southwest Bridge Team , you'll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects in New Mexico, Arizona, throughout the Southwest, and nationwide. Our transportation projects include traditional design-bid-build projects as well as alternative delivery such as Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects. Working with our talented team, you'll work to solve problems and challenges in a team environment where everyone is valued. As Senior Bridge Project Manager / Transportation Practice Builder , you will lead bridge projects of various sizes and complexity, lead teams of bridge engineers and CADD staff, support/mentor junior engineers, support strategic growth initiatives, develop our local and regional transportation practices, and help win new work. Senior Bridge Project Manager / Transportation Practice Builder role:
Oversee multidisciplinary teams
Oversee, manage, and/or lead preliminary, intermediate, and final bridge design projects
Develop bridge designs, calculations, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages
Oversee, manage, and lead task orders under on-call contracts
Provide and manage engineering services during construction including construction observation reports
Assist in development of Design-Build proposal documents
Review design deliverables prepared by a design-build team on behalf of the owner
Identify creative and innovative bridge engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints
Provide technical guidance, oversight, and perform quality reviews
Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers
Coordinate project milestones and workload with Project Managers, Design Leads, and Senior Bridge Engineers
Pursue bridge projects of various types including alternative delivery projects in New Mexico, Arizona, throughout the Southwest, and nationally
Support business development and proposal efforts
Maintain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships
Here's what you'll need :
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
PE registration New Mexico and/or Arizona or the possibility of obtaining New Mexico and/or Arizona PE registration after joining our team
At least 15 years' civil engineering experience including substantial bridge design and construction
Experience on large, multidisciplinary bridge design projects
Experience with multiple structure types including precast concrete girder bridges, steel bridges, bridge widenings, and bridge rehabilitations
Project management and leadership experience
Strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of technical standards for bridge design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance including AASHTO LRFD and state-specific guidelines
Familiarity with FHWA requirements and guidelines
Ability and willingness to travel on occasion
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
Existing relationships with NMDOT, ADOT, and/or other relevant agencies
Multi-faceted experience including public sector project experience
At least 20 years' civil engineering experience including substantial bridge design and construction as well as leadership of design teams
Alternative delivery project experience including Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects
Alternative delivery project oversight experience
