    Responsibilities

    The Quality Assurance Technician must assure products are being manufactured according to Berry Global quality standards and guidelines. These tasks must be completed safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.

    Responsible for embodying Berry's Behaviors and Values at all times

    Demonstrates personal commitment to safety in the workplace, actively wears required safety PPE (personal protective equipment), demonstrates safe work behaviors, supports safety activities and is aware of surroundings

    Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area. Assist in housekeeping when production is down, slow and prior to the end of shift. Area must be orderly prior to leaving for end of shift

    Starts each shift with a thorough evaluation and documentation of each machine and the products being produced

    Complete routine inspections, in a timely manner, based on the check frequency schedule

    Thoroughly complete all Quality documentation. These inspections consist of dimensional and physical testing

    Report any defects to Production and complete the "Report to Production Log". Initiate the product hold procedure when defects are found. Investigate when the defect started and place the defective product, from the start point to the final point, on hold

    Accurately complete any required paperwork

    Qualifications

    Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

    Position requires good math, general computer and organizational skills

    Must be detail-oriented and skilled in the use of measuring devices, such as height gages and calipers

    Dependable, good attendance is mandatory and must report to work on time each day

    Good written and verbal communication skills

    Demonstrated ability to follow directions and pass on important information

    Ability to work alone and in a group setting

    Capacity to demonstrate sound judgment regarding work priorities and problem solving
