We are seeking a Press Machine Operator for a metal stamping manufacturing company in Thomaston, CT. This is a 1st shift, full time, direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be someone who has some manufacturing experience (preferably as a manual machine operator). Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing setting, dealing with heavy machinery.

salary: $42,000 - $60,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates presses including sub-assembly machines according to instructions, specifications, and standards.

• Reviews and adheres to policies, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.

• Obtain and position material and start strips.

• Prepares fixtures and feeding devices, starts machine, and engages feed.

• Observes each machine to verify quality performance.

• Verifies measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers are in proper working order.

• Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate machines.

• Performs other related duties as assigned

The essential functions of this role include
