    About This Role

    The Land Systems team is seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineering candidate to support the Ground Robotics program.The candidate must be a highly motivated, hands-on, and self-driven team player that can perform in a dynamic engineering environment. The preferred candidate will have a broad technical knowledge base of mechanical engineering concepts to support the development and design of robotic ground vehicles.

    We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will:

    • Design new component parts, assemblies, and create production drawings using 3D CAD software.

    • Solve complex mechanical engineering problems that may require research and analysis.

    • Alter and/or modify existing designs to achieve specified functional and operational performance.

    • Integrate mechanical parts and assemblies into vehicle platforms while working within an interdisciplinary team.

    • Create and present design and engineering descriptive data for internal and customer design reviews.

    • Report status including schedule progress and problems/issues.

    • Keep current on future technologies and products to determine where and how such products canbe incorporated into designs.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

    • Minimum 2 years of Mechanical Engineering or related technical experience required.

    • Experience using 3D CAD software to include one or more of the following: Solidworks, AutoCad/Inventor, or NX.

    • Experience in developing drawings to ASME Y14 standards and ASME Y14.5-2009 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

    • Effective writing and communication skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

    • Experience with FEA. ANSYS workbench is preferred.

    • Able to obtain a security clearance is required.

    • Ability to access ITAR/EAR required
