    Manager, Operational Technology (OT) Systems Infrastructure - North America (NA)

    This is an exempt level position.

    Ideal work locations for this role include: Decatur, IL; Cedar Rapids or Clinton, IA; or Erlanger, KY. Other large ADM manufacturing locations are open for consideration.

    Position Summary:

    As a key member of the Operational Technology (OT) team, you will be responsible for managing and advancing the standardization and innovation of OT network infrastructure and engineering that is vital to our OT ecosystem to help ensure safe, reliable, and secure operations for ADM.

    You will work closely with OT and Process Automation (PA) engineers; and partner with key business segments, Global Technology (GT), and your global OT peers to ensure the successful delivery of OT infrastructure solutions to ADM operations for our North America region.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain the OT network infrastructure for the North America region; support development and implementation of OT network infrastructure strategic direction

    • Manage OT Virtualization and Networking Solutions standards

    • Drive establishment and communication of network infrastructure and procedure standards; help ensure compliance (configurations, hardware, rack elevations, etc.)

    • Drive innovation on OT Server and Networking Hardware standards; help ensure compliance (configurations, hardware, rack elevations, etc.)

    • Develop and Maintain OT Active Directory Domain Strategy

    • Develop and Maintain Identity and Access Management strategy and requests

    • Manage Lifecycle device inventory; Perform capacity planning and lifecycle management to ensure all hardware, firmware, and software provides seamless service to plants

    • Develop Global Licensing strategy; Maintain compliance for network-related licensing

    • Manage collection of system requirements, techniques and controls of affected functional departments in order to determine problem areas and provide operationally efficient solutions

    • Align on Industrial Transformation (IX) systems strategy

    • Develop Standard Work procedures

    • Support development of an Incident Response playbook in partnership with the OT Cyber Security Program

    • Coordinate network activities with other OT/Process Automation managers to help prevent plant interruptions

    • Drive OT Firewall ACLs, security tooling, patching and vulnerability scan strategies as part of implementing and maintaining our manufacturing firewalls

    • Design, implement and manage effective network security practices

    • Utilize monitoring tools, packet capture and other analytic utilities to assess potential issues and maintain network health

    • Design, enhance and manage main and independent distribution frame (MDF and IDF) closets including cabling, racking and power systems

    • Align with GT Global Data Protection strategy (Server Backups)

    • Drive OT Cyber Security Maturity Roadmap in partnership with the OT Cyber Security Program

    • Follow best practice project methodology guidelines and standards and help drive team adoption.

    • Manage the team of OT Systems, Network, and Security Engineers within the North America region. Prioritize/Deploy resources in order to meet project deliverables in coordination with other work groups

    • Manage, develop, coach, and motivate direct reports through diversity and inclusion, leadership capabilities, Ability to Execute (A2E) and Performance Excellence (PE)

    • Manage third-party suppliers/contractors (where applicable); Participate in vendor evaluations, recommend and review functional and overall system design, and complete technical planning to improve systems productivity and efficiency

    • Some travel, on call, and monitoring of our ServiceNow OT Queues for service management are expected as part of this position as a member of the Global OT Leadership Team

    Required Skills:

    • Knowledge of ITSM (IT Service Management) and ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) processes and practices

    • Ability to think 'outside the box'

    • Demonstrated experience managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of network technologies

    • Strong understanding of OT network communication protocols (including TCP/IP, UDP, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC, OPC UA, and PROFINET)

    • Strong communication skills - communicate at a conceptual level as well as at a hands-on, practical level

    • Highly motivated, self-starter

    • Comfortable working with cross-functional global teams

    • Strong documentation and organizational skills

    • Must have the ability to skillfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and succeed in an environment of competing priorities

    • Demonstrated ability to lead by delivering on commitments and managing by example

    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment; willingness to learn new skills and take direction from other team members; and ability to organize information and manage time efficiently

    Required Education:

    • Minimum of Associates Degree in a technical area (computer science, engineering, etc.), Bachelor's Degree preferred

    Required Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level technology operations and services

    • 5+ years of experience managing technical staff, including a 24x7 network infrastructure/operations staff

    • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
