Machine Operator

Actively hiring for machine operators located in the Chesapeake/Suffolk Area.

Seeking candidates with experience working in a production

environment

Shift: Monday - Friday 6AM to 2PM or Tuesday - Friday 2PM to 12AM.

Weekly Pay - $18-$19/Hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Prioritize the safety of yourself, your peers, and the overall operation.

• Operate fiberboard slitting machine in a safe and efficient manner.

• Perform machine setup, including adjusting settings and loading materials.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality output.

• Conduct regular quality checks to maintain product specifications and identify any deviations.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.

• Complete production logs and reports accurately and timely.

• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of machine operation and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).

• Standing and walking for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Comfortable working in an environment with large temperature swings between freezing and 100F.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 1 year of previous experience operating industrial machinery preferred.

• Intermediate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Understanding and ability to take measurements down to 1/16th of an inch.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as directed.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
