    As a Lead Investigator, you will be accountable for the overall strategy and execution of service-based investigations. This includes examination of high impact complaints, negative trends, and nonconforming product holds for the Ultrasound business segment. You will lead a global, multidisciplinary team to quickly determine the root cause of a problem and recommend actions to ensure product safety and compliance.

    Job Description

    Role & Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all aspects of an investigation: creating a clear problem statement, containment, documentation, supervision, execution, and closure

    • Create well documented investigation summaries to communicate relevant info, trends & root cause to stakeholders

    • Drive alignment with business and technical stakeholders

    • Facilitate root cause analysis

    • Assess and manage project risks and opportunities

    • Anticipate potential roadblocks and finds solutions to mitigate and eliminate

    • Ensure goals are met on time while adhering to our quality standards

    • Conduct research to support new project creation and existing project objectives

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related technical discipline

    • 4+ years of experience in a related industry

    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication

    • Understanding of product development and able to communicate technical information in layman's terms

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)

    • Basic understanding of project management principles and practices

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment

    • Able to work onsite in State College, PA

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Medical device industry experience

    • Risk Management experience

    • Experience with root cause analysis tools: 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Contradiction matrix, Fault Tree Analysis

    • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
