Land Surveyor

Description

Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of performing basic Land surveys: leveling, traversing, triangulation, metes and bounds surveys, topographic surveys, construction surveys, etc.

Interprets Horizontal and Vertical control points, records, and data sheets, as well the knowledge and understanding of basic plan reading.

Understands basic sources of measurement errors.

Experience with Carlson SurvCE, Robotic total stations and Javad GPS equipment a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Associates in Civil Engineering, Surveying or related field

• 2+ years of field survey experience preferred or survey specific higher education but not required.

• Strong math skills

• Valid driver's license

• Be able to obtain security clearances for access to client facilities

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs several times a day to load, unload & transfer equipment.

• DOT experience a plus
