    UPMC Presbyterian is seeking an experience Interventional Tech Specialist to join the Neuro Team! This position will consist of (4) 10-hour shifts or (3) 12-hour shifts & (1) 4-hour shift. Call responsibilities will be required: nights, weekends and holidays.

    In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, provides technical expertise to multiple business units. Functions as a resource to staff to provide orientation, continuing education and protocol development. Apply today to find out where your career can take you!

    Responsibilities:

    • Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations.

    • Responsibilities for new locations include, but are not limited to, working on reporting systems, obtaining appropriate images and effectively communicating with attending physicians as well as co-workers and patients.

    • Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead and advanced technologist.

    • Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment and supplies.

    • Assist with accreditation responsibilities.

    • Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation.

    • Serves as a technical resource to technologists on a daily operational basis.

    • Assist technologists with board reviews, continuing education needs, and participates as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews.

    • Performs all job responsibilities of IR Tech II Advanced.

    • Leads training on new techniques, protocols, and software applications and collaborates with proceduralists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions.

    • Assist with research studies where applicable.

    • Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology.

    • Minimum of 3 years IR experience required.

    • Teaching experience not required.

    • Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist.

    • Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent.

    • CPR or BLS Required.

    • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

    • ARRT Certificate

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
