    • Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD

    Responsibilities:

    • Duties include daily maintenance of medical imaging files to include the filing of preliminary reports, patient consents, and exam worksheets.

    • Assures accurate and timely reporting of exam reports to referring physicians.

    • Proficient use of Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS) equipment to view, print, retrieve and edit studies.

    • Assists internal and external customers in the use of PACS.

    • Correlates patient anatomy with different exam types and procedures for filming purposes. Print images with scout lines in proper position.

    • Performs support duties to facilitate the efficient operations of the Medical Imaging Services department.

    • Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and members of the health care team. Effectively operates hospital and Radiology information systems, PACS system, and communication systems in support of duties.

    • Participates in and supports quality improvement initiatives.

    • Participates in task forces and committees as assigned.

    • Safely uses equipment and materials according to manufacturer guidelines.

    • Adheres to Universal Precautions. Consistently complies with departmental standards and goals.

    • Performs other duties as assigned, in keeping with the scope and qualifications of the job.

    • Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

    What you will need:

    • High school graduate or equivalent.

    • Good working knowledge of medical terminology acquired through formal training of one year of experience (preferably in a Radiology department.)

    • Exhibits excellent verbal communication and human relation skills in dealing with doctors, patients, co-workers and hospital staff.

    • Ability to write, speak and read the English language.

    • Must be computer literate.

    • Must know anatomy and can relate to radiographic procedures.
