    This individual will support ManTech on a remote basis with required travel nationally and internationally as mission demands.

    Role Summary

    As a Director, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding ManTech's footprint in the Navy sector, with a keen focus on Research, Development, Test and Evaluation in support of naval innovation. The Office of Naval Research, Naval Research Lab, NAVAL X, Defense Innovation Unit and Naval Sea Systems Command are primary clients of interest. The team you will join is critical to achieving ManTech's defense organization's vision to continue being recognized as a trusted mission partner to the Navy and the premier provider of digital modernization services and strategies. You will join a team of Navy BD executives, cultivating a pipeline for growth and reporting directly to the Sr Executive Director Navy Business Development - Defense Sector.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Cultivate new and existing customer relationships to develop our business and visibility within the Naval Research Enterprise, NAVSEA, NAVAIR and Navy System Command clamancies with focus on RDT&E and innovation.

    • Pursue opportunities related to evolving requirements in uncrewed systems, undersea warfare, and Directed Energy Weapons (DEW).

    • Collaborate closely with the Navy business development team to leverage team strengths and expose opportunities for business expansion. Foster a culture of client-first engagement and relationship building, focused on mission outcomes, robust engagement, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

    • Establish and maintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by constantly identifying and qualifying new opportunities.

    • Translate market trends into compelling capture strategies, leveraging your deep understanding of the Navy domain to drive innovative solutions.

    • Review and evaluate proposal documents and participate in color reviews in preparation for proposal submission.

    • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ManTech's capabilities, technology, and business objectives. Use this knowledge to design and execute creative and differentiated growth strategies and customer engagements as well as influence future capability development efforts.

    • Assist the Navy Segment leadership in developing growth strategies by contributing personal expertise and insight and by conducting research as required.

    • Work with others to meet and exceed business and financial goals aligned to ManTech's annual operating plan and long-range strategy.

    • Establish and maintain business relationships and strong networks with other industry partners to facilitate teaming while building on your existing relationships to pursue Navy contracts in a highly competitive market.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • +10 years overall experience, with a minimum 5 years of military or civil service experience and 5 years relevant business experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated success in sales or business development in Navy markets, with strong business acumen and experience with government contracting processes.

    • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of client seniority.

    • Proven track record of leading and executing account management for large, complex captures.

    • Willingness to travel as needed to achieve mission objectives.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Active-duty military experience, particularly in the maritime Service.

    • Bachelor's degree

    • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of client seniority.

    • Experience with FEDSIM (AAS) deals, SeaPort-NxG, and developing go-to-market plans

    Clearance Requirement:

    • Active Secret Clearance, Top Secret preferred

    • US Citizen

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

    • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

    • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations

    • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situation

    The projected compensation range for this position is $143,600-$239,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it's employees beyond just compensation.
