Randstad has partnered with a local company in LaVergne, TN and we are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment Mechanic. If you are experienced with repairing heavy duty equipment like catapillar and volvo, this could be a Great Career Opportunity for you! Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual will operate a mobile service vehicle and travel to customer locations to perform in field, machinery diagnostics and repair of construction equipment as required. These repairs will consist of, but are not limited to, complete component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning, following prescribed technical manual procedures. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, work overtime and weekends on occasion.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent mechanical skills; Diesel and hydraulic systems experience preferred

Current and valid driver's license as outlined in company policy manual

Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

The essential functions of this role include

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
