    Position: Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)

    About the Role

    As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) with ACI Federal, you'll be at the forefront of providing compassionate care to elderly patients in various healthcare settings, including nursing homesand rehabilitative healthcare centers. Working under the guidance of registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs), you'll be instrumental in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our patients, enhancing their quality of life through dedicated support and companionship.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assist elderly patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing,

    toileting, and eating.

    Facilitate patient mobility by safely transferring them in and out of beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.

    Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing team.

    Document patient conditions and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team

    members to ensure comprehensive care.

    Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering meaningful connections with patients and their families.

    Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and facility policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

    Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet patient needs effectively.

    Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in geriatric care and dementia management.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program preferred.

    Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or relevant experience as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.Physical stamina and flexibility to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing forextended periods.

    Basic knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and safety regulations.

    Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

    Flexibility in scheduling, including rotating weekends and holidays.

    • Active CNA License

    • Current CPR certification.

    • Immunization for defined illnesses and diseases.
