    About the role

    Under moderate supervision of a licensed interior designer, performs a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard design techniques for small and large projects. Exercises independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying standard design techniques and procedures.

    This role is fully dedicated to a CBRE client and focuses on furniture design, specification and coordination.

    All aspects of descriptions of previous titles are incorporated and required for position.

    What you'll do

    Collaborates with team to suggest finishes, fixtures, and furniture for projects

    Collaborates with team in developing design solutions that meet the client's needs on time and budget

    Lead design and documentation of Furniture and Furniture Systems Specifications

    Builds graphic formatting for client presentations

    Participates in presentations that communicate design and furniture concepts to the client

    Coordinate furniture specifications with drawings to meet project requirements

    Produces or directs the creation of renderings and presentations

    Develops high-quality drawing and documentation that are clear, comprehensive and consistent

    Assists with vendor interface and coordination

    Approves vendor submittals for compliance with design/documentation

    Answers vendor Requests for Information

    What you'll need

    • B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum or

    • B.A. or M.A. in Architecture from accredited architectural curriculum (National

    • Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).

    • Academic background in Architecture or Interior Design

    • NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification or in process, preferred

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to optimally present information.

    • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

    • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to tackle problems in standard. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

    • Proficiency in Revit, BIM360, and Enscape, AutoCAD preferred

    • Graphic and presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp

    • Understanding and application of design principles, theories, color and materials
