Teledyne is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to join our Spark's engineering team that creates custom lithium-ion batteries. Do you like to test the limits? Then this is the role for you! What you will be doing :
Test lithium-ion battery cells using cell cycling equipment (Maccor)
Design and fabricate simple test fixtures
Write scripts to control cycling equipment using Build Test software
Record data and track tests using database applications
Collect, organize, process, and analyze large quantities of cell test data to evaluate performance
Summarize data in test reports and make presentations to customers
Monitor equipment malfunctions
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or science
3+ years of relevant experience in electrical testing, data acquisition and control, and data analysis
Hands-on experience with battery/cell electrical test equipment (Maccor or equivalent), including script writing for control of automated test equipment, data management, data plotting, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve test and equipment issues
Demonstrated attention to detail and working knowledge of accuracy and precision
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products, specifically Excel®
Excellent record keeping skills
U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance and or data/software access
Nice to have:
Access database or SQL based database experience
Labview programming experience
Macro construction with Visual Basic® for Applications experience
