    US headquarters of a global construction firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. The Accounting Manager will report to the CFO and assist in the mentorship of a small staff. They are looking for a Senior Accountant ready to take the next step in their career or an experienced Accounting Manager. Construction accounting experience highly preferred. This person will be developed by the CFO and have tremendous growth and advancement opportunities. This is an in-office and highly collaborative environment.     Core responsibilities include and will grow over time

    • Supervising the monthly closing process

    • Preparing monthly financial statements and analyzing monthly budget to actual results

    • Create journal entries and submit to CFO for approval

    • Partner with the CFO on the audit of financial statements and preparation of tax returns

    • Assist with preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts

    • Work with the warehouse manager on tracking company owned equipment and vehicles by project and maintaining fixed assets.

    • Prepare parent company reporting

    • Reconcile bank statements and all general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

    • Work with the CFO on the development and enhancement of accounting department policies and procedures.

    • Attend construction accounting professional development classes

    • Assist in the implementation and training of the accounting software.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in Construction accounting (will consider transferable skills from a similar industry)

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related area of study

    • Experience with project or cost accounting.

    • Strong analytical skills

    • Experience with the full GL, account reconciliations and supporting month end close.

    • Excel proficiency to include pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

    • 5 days in office w/ flexibility for start/end times to your day.
