    Our client in Oakland is seeking an interim Accounting Manager for a 2+ month engagement. This role involves managing the accounting functions within the organization, including bank reconciliations, revenue management, and audit support. This is a short term contract employment opportunity and can be 100% remote. Expected pay for this role is $55-$65/hr. depending on experience and work location.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and resolve Celigo Integration issues for Shopify and Amazon Channels

    • Conduct bank reconciliations and miscellaneous cash postings

    • Handle revenue-related accruals such as expected future returns & markdowns

    • Reconcile Undeposited Funds

    • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Deductions teams on payments, chargebacks, credits, and customer maintenance

    • Reconcile sales tax & GST Liability accounts

    • Provide audit support

    • Utilize NetSuite for various accounting functions

    • Analyze revenues and deductions and make necessary adjustments

    • Handle cash posting and accruals effectively.

    Requirements - Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in an Accounting Manager role or similar

    • Proficient in using NetSuite for various accounting tasks

    • Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and promptly

    • Expertise in analyzing revenues to provide detailed financial reports

    • Experience with handling deductions in payroll or other financial contexts

    • Capable of preparing and filing sales tax returns accurately and within set deadlines

    • Knowledge of GST (Goods and Services Tax) regulations and filing procedures

    • Skilled in cash posting to maintain accurate financial records

    • Experience in calculating and recording accruals in accordance with accounting standards

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (master's degree or CPA preferred)

    • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure

    • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting

    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
