    ? E.L. Harvey & Sons has immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our GROWING team at our site in Westborough, MA.

    As a tech in our site, your focus will be on the overall health/maintenance of the plant and all supporting machine centers. This will involve: inspections, diagnosing, and issuing repairs to mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, grinders, shredders and conveyor systems.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform service calls from for plant issues and breakdowns.

    • Preform minor to major repairs/PM maintenance.

    • Maintain a safe, clean environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA, NFPA standards.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience in a manufacturing plant or similar environment where you have worked on conveyor systems

    • Required to learn and willing to operate baling machines if you haven't already been around them

    • Knowledge of Light Diesel equipment is a plus

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    • Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.

    • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 to 75 + pounds.

    • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

    • Ability to operate heavy equipment, skid steer and forklift safety.

    • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

    • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
