Some days we all feel down, especially when looking for a job. We wonder if we picked the right field, the right degree, the right reasons. We wonder if were capable of doing the job we chose, if were going to be happy and some times we start to lose hope. Sometimes we need a little something to push us to keep going. Here are some inspirational quotes for teachers or teachers to be to help you keep your eye on the prize and remember why you got into teaching in the first place.

"A very wise old teacher once said: "I consider a day's teaching wasted if we do not all have one hearty laugh." He meant that when people laugh together, they cease to be young and old, master and pupils, jailer and prisoners. They become a single group of human beings enjoying

its existence." -- Gilbert Highet

"The greatest sign of a success for a teacher...is to be able to say, "The children are now working as if I did not exist." -- Maria Montessori

"If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, the excitement, and the mystery of the world we live in." -- Rachel Carlson

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -- Benjamin Franklin

and last but not least...

"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank...but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child." -- Forest Witcraft
