If you want to jump start your career in Hospitality Management, you'll need to immerse yourself in study. The best way to do that is through a formalized education program that arms you with the necessary skills and knowledge to hit the ground running when you apply for that first job.

Here are some schools you might consider to launch your hospitality management career:

Sullivan University. Offers career-specific courses in Hotel and Restaurant Management that lead to accelerated certificate and degree programs.

Ashworth College. Provides hands-on training and skill enhancement in its Hotel/Restaurant Management Program. Offers the flexibility to study when and where your schedule permits.

College of Westchester. Combines practical knowledge with the skills today's employers are looking for. Earn your Hotel & Resort Management degree in 18 months or upgrade your present position with a professional certificate program.

Penn Foster Schools. Offers affordable, self-paced, career-focused distance education program in Hotel/Restaurant Management.

Stratford Career Institute. Start with a GED and move up to a Hotel and Restaurant Management certificate.

Vancouver Career College. Arms you with the skills you need with degree programs in Hospitality and Hotel Management (AHLA).

Institute of Culinary Education. Situated in New York City, they offer a full spectrum of programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, and culinary management.

Each of these schools and colleges has specific entrance requirements and fee schedules. Ask about their alumni associations and contact a few of the alumni to get a better feel for what each school/college offers. Inquire about their job placement services and the results they achieve for their students.
