Position : Director of Residential Life
Location : North Charleston, SC
Serves as the Dormitory Manager Overseeing all activities of the department to include housekeeping, , desk operations, building, vehicle fleet and the on-site laundry facility. Responsible for supervision and management of all staff members and buildings on a 24/7 on call basis. Responsible for overseeing all day to day tasks and functions associated with the management of the dormitories in order to meet government contract requirements. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the following operations: Housekeeping procedures, staffing, supervision, scheduling laundry operations, and, staff discipline. AUL/MSDS knowledge preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for overseeing all operations of the dormitory to include staffing needs and completion of related paperwork. i.e. weekly timesheets, training, staff meetings, policy implementation and staff discipline.
Responsible for overseeing the laundry facility and following up on needed building maintenance and repairs. Insuring that rooms are ready for incoming classes and that rooms are scheduled to be cleaned for graduating classes.
Responsible for scheduling routine vehicle maintenance for dormitory department vehicles.
Responsible for conducting room inspections for cleanliness and routine maintenance, and, supervision of housekeeping and front desk staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individual must have at least 3 years within the last 10 years of management/supervisory experience in a dormitory setting. Applicants with Residential Life Experience and Hotel Housekeeping Management Experience are encouraged to apply.
Must be a US or Naturalized Citizen.
Must be proficient in oral and written communications. Must know how to use a computer/Excel and Word.
Must be able to pass a background investigation pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
Weekend work is Required. HS Diploma or GED required- College Degree or some college preferred.
